Planned Giving Refresher
Become acquainted (or re-acquainted) with some of the more common planned giving vehicles. Hear the pro’s and con’s (and even common myths) of each as well as general considerations and talking points. Come with questions as this is geared to be highly informative and practical!
How to Form and Keep a High Performing Board
A high performing board is essential to a successful nonprofit. This session will engage participants in strategies, roadmaps and lessons learned anecdotes on how to form and maintain a high performing board and to develop a trusting, supportive relationship with the CEO.
Funders Panel / Lunch
Join us for lunch while hearing from a panel of both state and local funders to gain perspective on best practices when it comes to applying for and keeping funding. This facilitated conversation will be an interactive experience between audience members and panelists.

The traditional business model canvas is a visual representation of the nine key elements of any enterprise. Learn how to use this tool through a social impact lens to better understand your nonprofit and clearly state your value as an organization.
Engaging, Supporting & Managing Volunteers
The process of engaging and managing volunteers in our work can be challenging. Volunteers can be extremely valuable to an organization’s mission and can greatly increase capacity of the work. However, in order for volunteers to be effective in supporting the mission of the organization – volunteers need to be nurtured, supported, and given proper feedback. In this workshop, we will explore how to engage volunteers more deeply in the work and when necessary, how to have those difficult conversations.
