Schedule:
Required to work a full day (9am-5pm) on Wednesdays to attend in-person meetings and participate in clinical duties to assist our Nurse Practitioner. There’s flexibility for the other days of the week and working remotely is a possibility, although most work is on-site. The schedule will be discussed during the interview process. Our hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Heartland Mental Health is a small community mental health clinic for adults in Denver, Colorado. We provide effective and personalized services with a trauma informed approach in the Capital Hill area of Denver. Heartland Mental Health envisions a community of wellness where members flourish and live their best, self–directed lives. Through our outpatient psychiatric services and a day-time drop-in center, we serve adults who have various levels of mental health needs.
Our psychiatric outpatient clinic has an exciting opportunity for an LCSW or LPC to partner with our clinic members to achieve their recovery goals, provide health promotion and maintenance. The outpatient clinic consists of two full-time licensed therapists, a part-time Psychiatric Nurse and a part-time Nurse Practitioner. Our clinic members meet with our Nurse Practitioner on Wednesdays for medication evaluations. Our employees value Heartland’s culture of supporting our clients and providers through manageable caseloads of 30-40 clients for full-time therapists. Currently, we serve 50-60 adults in our outpatient clinic and intend to reach our goal of supporting 80 clients in the coming year.
Position Summary
The LCSW or LPC will report directly to the Clinic Team Lead. The LCSW or LPC is responsible for providing direct care of mental clinical assessments, treatment planning and therapy services for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. In addition, the LCSW or LPC will coordinate closely with the Clinic Team Lead to implement clinical programming. The LCSW or LPC provides clinical supervision to master’s level intern(s). Previous experience working in a mental health setting is required.
Responsibilities & Duties:
● Clinically assess, diagnosis and provide treatment to clients using standardized assessment/screening tools, and measures
● Plan and administer evidence-based therapeutic treatment, behavior modification, and therapy to assist clients in developing/displaying appropriate behaviors
● Responsible for carrying a clinical caseload of 35-40 adults
● Consult external community providers concerning treatment plans and for coordination of care, as required
● Maintain regular contact with other agencies and professionals regarding client progress through phone calls, letters, and/or timed reporting
● Refer clients to supportive services to supplement treatment and therapy, as needed
● Provide case management services to clients as needed or assigned; ensure the clinic services address client’s needs and utilize area referral sources for needed specialty care, hospitalization, or advance psychiatric assessments and treatments
● Coordinate client’s use of other Heartland Mental Health programs and outside community resources
● Consult with Heartland Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and other providers regarding clients and regarding prescription medications prescribed by providers
● Identify clients with urgent mental health conditions (e.g., 27-10 (M-1) “mental health hold” valuations, suicidal, homicidal, psychotic, gravely disabled, etc.) and make appropriate referrals to available emergency or psychiatric treatment facilities
● Maintain appropriate documentation for all necessary billing information
● Maintains thorough, accurate and timely documentation of the provision of services, assessments, evaluations, and progress toward the completion of client’s treatment goals consistent with the clinical and administrative policies and procedures to meet requirements for medical records documentation
● Supervise a graduate school intern from a social work program for the academic year (September-May)
● With assistance from the Clinic Team Lead, hire, train, supervise and evaluate interns.
● Meet with internship supervisors and complete any required tasks
● Collaborate with the Clinic Team Lead to establish program goals and program development.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited school of social work or psychology/counseling. Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in good standing with the appropriate Board in the state of Colorado.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness preferred.
Minimum of one-year in outpatient mental health setting is required.

The Mental Health Manager plays a vital leadership role in supporting the emotional well-being of elementary-age children in our after-school programs. This individual oversees the design, coordination, and delivery of comprehensive mental health services, supervises a team of mental health interns, and works collaboratively with program staff and families to create a supportive, trauma-informed environment for all scholars. This position will report to the Vice President of Impact.
Essential Functions:
Program Leadership & Oversight
- Lead the development and implementation of a responsive, culturally affirming mental health program across multiple after-school sites.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making data-informed adjustments as needed.
- Ensure that all mental health programming aligns with organizational values and best practices in youth development
Direct Mental Health Support
- Provide individual and small-group mental health services to students as needed, with an emphasis on early intervention and strength-based approaches.
- Conduct assessments and observations to inform individualized support plans.
- Serve as a resource to after-school staff in managing challenging behaviors and supporting students’ social-emotional growth.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a liaison between families, program staff, and mental health providers to ensure coordinated care.

- Provide clinical supervision and professional development for three mental health interns.
- Coordinate intern caseloads, provide regular feedback, and support their growth in child-focused mental health work.

Education
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (LCSW, LPC, LMFT preferred or in progress) is required.
Experience:
- Minimum 1 – 3 years of experience providing mental health services to children, preferably in school or OST settings.

Centennial Mental Health Center (CMHC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the highest quality comprehensive mental health services to the rural

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) provides leadership and oversight of all clinical services including Outpatient Mental Health, SUD, and Crisis services, Prevention and Early Intervention, and provides clinical supervision to core clinical leaders. Under the direction of the CEO, the CCO will enforce the organization’s mission, vision, and values throughout their scope of control. The CCO continually evaluates whether clinical services are producing expected quality outcomes. The CCO supports the development and implementation of tools and training curriculum, and implements policies and procedures to drive forward a culture of Trauma-Informed and culturally responsive care for all individuals working for and/or associated with Centennial to ensure that quality and comprehensive service is being delivered on all levels.

Certified Addictions Specialist, Youth Recovery
This is an on-site position with a variable weekly schedule from 9 pm to 6 am. This position will work in collaboration with the Manager of Youth Residential Recovery Unit and Program Coordinator for the oversight and coordination of the YRR program at Jefferson Center; to oversee the overnight clinical operations including the overall operations, training, clinical and administrative supervision of the YRR Unit clinical staff; to oversee and ensure the clinical treatment clinical programming and scheduling is executed as scheduled, documentation is completed, staffing ratio is adhered to, and all other YRR program requirements are maintained.
The Youth Residential Recovery’s mission is to incorporate an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, residential counselors, medical staff, case management, intake coordination, and teaching assistant is provided for residential substance use treatment for Colorado’s youth, between the ages of 13 and 18.5, at the ASAM Level of Care 3.5. The average length of stay for the youth is between 30-45 days. Our team coordinates treatment and provides tools and relapse prevention for adolescents and families so that they can meaningfully return to their homes and the community with a renewed sense of hope. We are committed to serving Colorado’s adolescents while maintaining a non-judgmental and inclusive approach.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, social work, etc.) required.
- CAS (Certified Addictions Specialist) required. Candidates close to earning CAS or LAC may also be considered.
- Three or more years’ related experience in SUD with adolescents.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience in 24/7 residential (inpatient) setting preferred.
Essential Duties:
- Provides clinical and administrative supervision to approximately 4 program clinical staff (therapists and residential counselors) to ensure that the day-to-day operations comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Assists in maintaining staff schedules and ensures the unit operates within the parameters of the staffing matrix, adjusting staffing as necessary for coverage.
- Ensures compliance with policies, procedures & regulations; maintains quality of records.
- Maintains caseload as assigned by Manager or self by overseeing the implementation and review of all treatment services provided to each child/youth on caseload.
- Primary coordinator for discharge planning and transition of care to community resources for each youth on caseload on overnights/weekends.
- Works with the Medical Team to medication monitoring in accordance to Center policy.
- Responds to and manages any crisis concerning clients and/or potential clients on overnights/weekends.
- Provides training and supervision to ensure staff meet and maintain BHA and Medicaid billing requirements.
- Provides oversight of documentation, including co-signatures (if necessary) and billing requirements, in accordance with RAE, Signal and BHA regulations/guidelines.
- Develop and monitor approaches to improve client engagement for necessary post-discharge services.
- Coordinates the interdisciplinary team meetings with treatment team for review of all YRR clients. Facilitates team meetings as well as provides supervision to therapists and residential counselors between Friday-Sunday.
- Participates in an on-call rotation as scheduled by the Director, program manager, or designee.
- Ensures Adverse Incident Reporting (AIR) and Medication Occurrence reporting procedures are followed. Attend Critical Incident Reviews (CIR) as designated by the Program Manager or CIR team.
- Assists the Program Manager and/or Program Coordinator in identifying potential problem areas or areas for development. This includes developing and facilitating professional development trainings. Timely identification and preemptive problem-solving of emerging issues with clients, parents and family members and other stakeholders
- Effectively responds to the client/consumer needs and problems, initiates and maintains positive interactions with colleagues and community partners, and exhibits timely response to phone calls, email and other requests.

- Participates on various interagency committees as requested by Program Manager.

Therapist, Police Based (RTD)
The RTD Based Co-Responder will provide early intervention assessment, referrals and clinical case management services to persons in the community that are identified by the Regional Transport District (RTD) as possibly having mental health issues. To provide information, education, liaison, and transition services to various networks within Jefferson Center for Mental Health (Jefferson Center) and with federal, state, and community based agencies and resources. To provide training and on-going education for officers to increase awareness of crisis de-escalation, mental health issues and intervention. To provide family members with necessary information and education to further assist persons with mental illness and for themselves.
*This is a swing shift position that includes a shift differential. Hours to be discussed in further detail with the hiring manager.
Job Specific Competencies/Duties:
- Accompany officers on mental health related calls in the community. Triage, provide crisis intervention, assess needs and provide resources, link with treatment.
- Assessment of all referrals to determine appropriateness for services at Jefferson Center

Lead Therapist, Police Based (RTD)
The Lead Co-Responder, RTD Based will provide early intervention assessment, referrals and clinical case management services to persons in the community that are identified by the Regional Transport Department (RTD) as possibly having mental health issues. They will provide information, education, liaison, and transition services to various networks within Jefferson Center for Mental Health (Jefferson Center) and with federal, state, and community based agencies and resources. They will provide training and on-going education for officers to increase awareness of crisis de-escalation, mental health issues and intervention. They will provide family members with necessary information and education to further assist persons with mental illness and for themselves.
Essential Duties:
- Accompany officers on mental health related calls in the community. Triage, provide crisis intervention, assess needs and provide resources, link with treatment.
- Assessment of all referrals to determine appropriateness for services at Jefferson Center
- Provide case management services including linking to services, monitoring, follow-up, and crisis management for consumers
- Provide services to meet need: office based, community based, or in the consumer’s home

Overnight Crisis Therapist, Master’s Level
The Crisis Therapist evaluates consumers who present at the Walk-In Center or through Mobile Crisis response to the community, according to mental health center timelines for response: Provides de-escalation, triage assessments and obtains collateral information to ensure that emergency interventions consider the context of the client’s overall plan in order to avoid harm and re-traumatization. Makes clinically appropriate dispositions in referring to services in the least restrictive environment necessary to ensure individual and community safety.
This position will work Midnight to 8:00am (overnight) Monday through Friday.

- Evaluates crisis clients according to mental health center timelines for response, either at the WIC or as part of the MCT.

Essential Duties:
- Provides milieu management, guidance, safety, stability, and direction to clients in early recovery from a trauma-informed lens.

Weekly Nurse
JOB SUMMARY: The Camp Nurse provides services primarily for our Adventure Camp program. Duties include checking in camper medications on the first day of camp with counselors and other staff, dispensing oral and injected medications to campers morning and evening, providing appropriate medical treatment for children or adults as needed and managing all medical and first aid supplies. The Camp Nurse will provide training in Universal Precautions for counselors and volunteers during orientation before campers arrive on the first day.
The position includes tracking and maintaining incident reports and communicating information to either the Executive Director or the Adventure Camp Manager as well as to the appropriate authorities/organizations. The camp runs on a weekly basis and each week is run from Sunday at 10:00 AM through Friday at 12:00 PM. The Camp Nurse should relate well to adults and children of all ages. The nurse should have experience with children of diverse populations, particularly populations including children and adults with developmental disabilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: The Camp Nurse must:

Site Coordinator, Behavioral Health
The Site Coordinator is an integral part of the Behavioral Health Department within Catholic Charities. This role fosters a welcoming supportive atmosphere for counseling clients. This position ensures effective and efficient direction to the public and responds in a caring, positive manner to a broad variety of people. This role is responsible for daily administrative operations and the department’s medical billing, payments, and reconciliation processes.
Essential Duties
Key tasks and responsibilities to be performed in the role.
- Maintain Electronic Health Records and provide administrative support for counselors, including adding/editing new users, changing user roles, resetting passwords, and setting account access. Also managing client information in the system including adding, editing, and/or removing clients.
- Conduct daily operations, including performing periodic quality assurance file reviews, conducting insurance eligibility checks, and handling monthly billing and reconciliation tasks.
- Conduct periodic quality assurance file reviews for individual/family counseling and relinquishment counseling requirements, including client disclosures and consents.
- Update and create Standard Operating Procedures for administrative workflows.
- Manage incoming calls, retrieve messages, and return phone calls, as necessary.
- Process incoming inquiries for counseling and relinquishment services, updating and entering data into tracking databases, and assigning counseling inquiries to counselors.
- Direct telephone inquiries from the public to appropriate internal departments within Family Services, Catholic Charities, the Diocese of Colorado Springs, and parishes, providing community referrals as needed.
- Assist with walk-in inquiries, directing individuals to the appropriate departments and destinations throughout the Catholic Pastoral Center or other Catholic Charities locations.
- Coordinate the daily counseling calendar and ensure its distribution to the Catholic Pastoral Center reception desk for client entry into the building.
- Schedule workflow to ensure desk coverage during client appointment arrival times.
- Maintain a welcoming environment in the department’s reception area, greeting clients and providing necessary forms for completion. Collect and deliver completed forms to counselors.
- Process client payments, including invoicing and statement preparation for services rendered.
- Submit billing to insurance companies. Collaborate with the Finance team to record and reconcile payments.
- Process and track incoming authorizations and complete billing for services as required by independent contracts.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence and legal documents to the court.
- Coordinate department meetings, including reserving conference rooms and taking minutes.
- Maintain departmental forms and ensure the security of confidential information. Manage department office equipment and order supplies as needed.
- Serve as notary public for Catholic Charities.
