Position Summary
Reporting to the Dance Coordinator, this hourly position teaches beginning through advanced ballet and pointe classes using a syllabus. This instructor will choreograph for the spring concerts and may have the opportunity to choreograph on the performing company.
Responsibilities
- Choreograph class dances for the spring recitals
- Arrive prior to class time
- Attend and participate in all required meetings
- Open Communication with Dance Coordinator on ongoing basis
- Submit required concert information to the Dance Coordinator; including program notes, music and prop and set needs, in timely manner
- Other reasonable duties as assigned
Skills and Competencies
- Experience educating young children, adolescents and/or and adults with a strong emphasis on injury prevention
- Ability to present material in a developmentally appropriate manner
- Ability to teach the material on the syllabus and give useful corrections on alignment and execution
- Ability to communicate positively with the students, parents and Arvada Center Staff
- Ability to collaborate and work with fellow dance instructors on show themes
- Ability to demonstrate or explain combinations and correct students, move ballet barres as needed
- Move light sets and props during recital season
- Ability to stand for two hours, either in class or while working backstage for dance concerts
- Must possess several years teaching experience, have a solid foundation of ballet training

Early Learning Center Assistant Director
Position Summary:
Hope House Colorado (HHC) is hiring an assistant director (AD) who is responsible for supporting the leading of the Early Learning Center (ELC) for Hope House Colorado. The AD is responsible for supervising and leading staff and assisting the director of childhood education (DCE) in building a culture that exemplifies Hope House Core Values, implementation of programming that aligns with our educational philosophy and principles, running the summer program, managing parent communication, and ensuring compliance with Colorado licensing and Colorado Shines standards.
Looking to hire in June for an August 19th first day of school.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide supervision for operations assistant, summer camp staff, ELC teachers and ELC assistant teachers
- Oversee daily operations of the ELC in partnership with DCE, including programming, staff and quality of care
- Lead classroom scheduling, coverage and support to ensure child/staff ratio for all classrooms and compliance with childcare regulations
- Maintain accurate teacher and child records needed for licensing and Colorado Shines
- Assist the DCE in ensuring compliance with Colorado licensing standards and state and federal laws to maintain license, Colorado Department of Health and Environment, and local fire department regulations

- Lead and implement Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment System professional learning, assessment schedule, management of TS Gold System, teaching coaching to utilize data to make decisions to increase child outcomes
- Direct annual professional learning for ELC (required and based on needs of ELC), including identifying needs, scheduling, budgeting and managing presenters
- Assist the DCE in the compliance and quality of the ELC to reach and maintain a Colorado Shine 5-star rating (learning environment, leadership management and administrative plans, family engagement and child health program)

The ECC works closely with external workforce development and business partners.??
What you’ll be doing
- Respond to teen mom inquiries about the HS & GED Program, prepare study materials, create individual learning plans for each student as needed or requested, teach the appropriate material, coordinate with tutors, and coordinate all HS & GED graduation celebrations
- Act as the liaison with Jefferson Academy, including implementation of the partnership, admissions, recruiting for count day, attendance tracking in Jeffco Public School District Infinite Campus system, etc.?
- Assist teen moms in building the educational pathway that is best for them (certifications, trade schools, associate and bachelor’s degrees, etc.,) and help them set realistic goals (i.e. stackable certifications)?
- Maintain working relationships with advisors at community colleges, trade schools where possible, scholarship funders and foundations, and community liaisons

School Programs Manager
Yampatika is seeking a new School Programs Manager (SPM) to help us continue the implementation of our School Programs across our four-county service area in Northwest Colorado. We offer a wide range of free programming for Pre-K-12 students in seven different school districts. The SPM will work with teachers and administrators to advertise, develop, and schedule our programs. We provide both in-school programming, field trips, and outdoor experiences including but not limited to outdoor exploration, making observations, stewardship projects, working with public and private landowners, snowshoeing, hiking, water quality monitoring, and more. The SPM is an integral part of our team and is responsible for managing both full-time and part-time staff, writing curriculum, giving programs, and maintaining partnerships with other organizations. Responsibilities will include managing a budget, developing and pursuing program goals, managing materials and resources, and evaluating program effectiveness. The SPM will also help us maintain our Out-of-School programming with other youth-serving organizations in our community. We are seeking a team leader who can help us maintain our regional programming at its current level while working to grow the program in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Management
- Hire, train, and directly supervise at least two full-time year-round Program Coordinators as well as part-time educators.
- Manage capacity needs.
Program Development and Management:
- Design and implement environmental education programs and outdoor learning experiences tailored for Pre-K-12th grade students.
- Develop curriculum and instructional materials that align with state academic standards and Yampatika’s mission.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of school programs, including scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics.
- Oversee program budget management.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Partner with districts, local schools, educators, and community organizations to integrate Yampatika’s programs into school curricula and extracurricular activities.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure seamless delivery of programs, including field trips, workshops, and hands-on activities.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders to support program expansion and sustainability.
- Be knowledgeable of state and regional Environmental Education goals and how Yampatika can further those goals; including goals from the Colorado Water Conservation Board, the Yampa White Green Basin Roundtable, the Colorado Alliance for Environmental Education, US Forest Service, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and local initiatives in the communities where Yampatika works.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Track program performance through assessments, feedback, and data analysis to measure effectiveness and impact. Build on current evaluation strategies to grow our database and inform future decision-making.
- Prepare and present reports on program outcomes, participant engagement, and areas for improvement. Assist with grant reporting and implementation to ensure the funder’s goals are being met.
- Use evaluation results to refine and enhance program content and delivery.
Student and Community Engagement:
- Develop strategies to engage students in environmental education and encourage active participation in programs.
- Involve stakeholders in program development to ensure our programs are known, needed, and appreciated.
- Communicate program details and updates to students, parents, and teachers through various channels.
- Address inquiries, feedback, and concerns from program participants and stakeholders.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain accurate records related to program activities, budgets, and participant data.
- Manage program-related documentation, including permissions, registrations, and evaluations.
- Assist with recruiting, training, and supervising full-time and part-time program staff and volunteers.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all programs comply with Yampatika’s policies, safety regulations, and relevant educational standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all program participants.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Education, or Education. A Master’s degree or relevant certification is advantageous.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in education and at least 2 years of experience in project management.

- Strong knowledge of the educational landscape in Colorado and state academic standards.

Education Coordinator

Overview:
Through cross-cultural and global lessons, the Mwebaza Foundation inspires global citizenship among children and adults so they may advocate for positive change in their communities. Mwebaza facilitates connections with elementary middle and high schools in Colorado with our four partner schools in Uganda. We are committed to sharing knowledge, experiences, and ideas to create equitable and just school communities.
Position Summary:
The Program Assistant will support educational programming efforts on a part-time/contract basis. The successful candidate will maintain close working relationships with Mwebaza staff, Board, and partner school representatives while supporting the facilitation of Mwebaza’s educational lessons and activities at our partner schools.
Primary Responsibilities:
- This is a semi-remote position that will require frequent attendance for in-school activities and Foundation events.
- This position will work alongside our School Development Director with supervision from our Executive Director.
The Program Assistant will provide strategic assistance on a wide range of projects that may include but are not limited to the following: coordinating logistics and planning for student clubs; creating and presenting updates for students, parents, and staff; managing school and parent-related communications; overseeing and executing school fundraising and educational events; strategizing for increased parent and staff involvement; maintaining relationships with applicable partners and community members; collaborating with partner school staff on various projects and assignments; preparing and instructing cross-cultural exchange and global studies lessons; serving on the Education Committee; and contributing ideas and skills to achieve long-term sustainability of the Mwebaza Foundation mission and vision.
This position may include travel to Uganda to build relationships and collaborate with our partners. Travel costs are covered by the Foundation, and trip frequency is determined by available funds.

Overview
The Rise School of Denver / Rise Therapy Center is looking for an experienced, energetic, and collaborative speech-language pathologist to join our team.
The Rise School of Denver provides high quality, inclusive early childhood care, education, and therapy for all children, including children with developmental disabilities. We do this by providing exemplary school- and clinic-based services using recommended practices for children with developmental delays and disabilities and their families.
Speech-language pathologists will join our transdisciplinary team of early childhood specialists that includes other speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, and music therapists. The SLP will work closely with our clinic team, and be directed and supervised by our Director of Therapy Services and SLP. Clinic services are offered in a multi-sensory gym space.
This is a flexible part-time position with opportunity to build up to a full-time caseload, providing individual and group services through our outpatient therapy center, in family homes, and/or within the classroom.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide family-centered, relationship-based speech and language pathology services in clinic, home and/or classroom settings
- Develop goals and treatment plans in collaboration with families (and additional service providers when applicable)

Overview
The Rise School of Denver is an inclusive, non-profit early care and education center that supports young children with and without developmental delays and disabilities and their families. We are looking for a full-time Lead Teacher to join our passionate, expert team beginning Ocotber 1, 2024.
The Lead Teacher provides a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate educational environment where children with and without disabilities have the opportunity to develop cognitive, social, language, emotional, adaptive, and physical skills. Lead Teachers lead a classroom team that includes a Lead Teacher, teaching assistant and members of the therapy team, with three adults present in the room and no more than 12 students present each day. Lead Teachers are also part of a larger transdisciplinary team that includes therapists, children’s families, and member’s of Rise’s leadership team.
The Rise School is committed to teacher development. Joining the lead teaching team at Rise offers teachers the opportunity to receive practice-based coaching from our Director of Education and Inclusion to implement the LEAP Model of Inclusion and Pyramid Model of Social and Emotional Competence. This position also involves joining Rise’s lead teaching team, who engage in group coaching with one another on a regular basis to ensure that every practitioner is fully supported.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Aligns with the Rise School philosophy that all children have the ability to learn when given appropriate encouragement and with evidence-based supports.
- Adheres to the Rise School mission of preparing children to be included in Kindergarten classrooms, providing differential instruction based on individual children’s needs, and integrating individual intervention plans into lesson plans and daily classroom routines.
- Conducts ongoing screening and curriculum based assessment of all children in the classroom. Teams with therapists to administer standardized assessments as needed.
- Prepares weekly lesson plans.
- Utilizes best practices for implementing Universal Design for Learning, multi-tiered systems of support, and a linked system framework (i.e., screening, assessment, goal development, intervention, progress monitoring) for supporting all young children in the classroom with the level of support they need to successfully and meaningfully engage.
- Participates in regular collaborative meetings with Rise School therapists. Maintains constructive working relationships with therapists and takes initiative to implement techniques and strategies as recommended; requesting more support and coaching if needed.
- Participates in practice-based coaching with the Director of Education and Inclusion to work toward achieving and maintaining high fidelity implementation of the LEAP Preschool and Pyramid Models.
- Implements family-centered partnership strategies and practices, while creating and maintaining professional relationships to assist with family engagement in the Rise School program.
- Participates in strengths-based, Family–Teacher Conferences twice a year, or more often as requested by families at which time individualized goals for children with disabilities are reviewed and/or developed.

Qualifications
Knowledge
Knowledge of young children’s development, the National Association for the Education of Young Children Developmentally Appropriate Practices for working with all young children, and the Division for Early Childhood Recommended Practices for working with young children with or at risk for developmental delays and disabilities.
Required Education
- Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Active teaching license (Colorado or other state).
- Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (with licensure in Early Childhood Special Education, or in the process of obtaining.

Overview
The Rise School of Denver / Rise Therapy Center is looking for an experienced, energetic, and collaborative occupational therapist to join our team.
The Rise School of Denver provides high quality, inclusive early childhood care, education, and therapy for all children, including children with developmental disabilities. We do this by providing exemplary school and clinic-based services using recommended practices for children with developmental delays and disabilities and their families.
Occupational therapists will join our transdisciplinary team of early childhood specialists that includes other occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, and music therapists. The OT will work closely with our clinic team, and be directed and supervised by our Director of Therapy Services and SLP. Clinic services are offered in a multi-sensory gym space.
This is a flexible part-time position with opportunity to build up to a full-time caseload, providing individual and group services through our outpatient therapy center, in family homes and/or classroom settings.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide family-centered, relationship-based occupational therapy services in clinic, home and/or classroom settings.
- Develop goals and treatment plans in collaboration with families (and additional service providers when applicable)
- Maintain child progress documentation and complete all required insurance documentation
- Adhere to the Rise School philosophy that all children have the ability to learn when given appropriate encouragement and with evidence-based support(s).
- Perform screenings and formal/ongoing evaluations/assessments with other team members and families
- Affirm the race, class, culture, gender, sexual orientation, ability and disability, language, national origin, indigenous heritage, religion, and other identities of all young children and families by using practices that are developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate
- Maintain professional, open and direct communication with all families, Rise team members, and outside providers

- Maintain current required certifications and professional licenses, including but not limited to AOTA, Colorado state license, CPR, and First Aid.

Education and Experience:

- Board Certification from NBCOT
- Professional license in the state of Colorado
- 1 year of experience working with children ages 12 months – 7 years with developmental disabilities in a school setting as an occupational therapist.
