The Development Manager position is a full-time year-round position that will report to the Senior Director of Development. This position plays an important
role within the Development Team with special events, corporate outreach and donor relations. This position will assist with all aspects of fundraising events,including our signature gala, A Taste of Nature.This person will manage all other development-related events and meetings. This person will also manage the A Taste of Nature live and online auctions, corporate in-kind and cash sponsorships within their portfolio and entry level donor retention and growth.
In addition, this person will manage the tracking, implementation, benefits fulfillment and renewals of all corporate sponsor relationships as well as
individual donor benefit fulfillment.
This person must have a “can-do” attitude and a collaborative team approach, interfacing with Development Team members,programs, marketing and finance team members, donors,prospects, partners and vendors.
· Assist with the planningand execution of our A Taste of Nature annual gala (earlyJuly) and possible second
event to engage the next generation of donors, to exceed timelines and budgets.
· Manage A Taste of Nature live and onlineauctions to exceedtimelines and revenuegoals.
· Manage a variety of development relatedevents and initiatives including EdVentures, private events, events that are part of a
Corporate Partner benefits package, stewardship events and cultivation events
(e.g. Corporate Breakfast, Corporate Happy Hour, Holiday Open House).
· Manage venuesetup and breakdown, F&B, remote meetingA/V set up and other requested
details for Development Team, Development Committee, ATON Committee and Board
of Trustee meetings and retreats.
· Manage individual and corporate sponsorbenefit fulfillment activations at all events.
· Manage in-kinddonations for the above events(e.g. – alcohol,food, services)
· Manage development team storage area and tracking/replenishment of development-related inventory, including
event decor and supplies and donor apparel.
· Manage corporatein-kind and cash sponsorship solicitations within your portfolio to exceed budgets.
· Manage trackingof all corporate in-kind and cash sponsorprospects and donors,as well as auction donors, including
contacts/related role, benefits fulfillment, payments, sponsorship terms and
renewals.
· Track individual donor and sponsorbenefits and relatedfulfillment.
· Manage entry level donorresearch, stewardship, retention and growth.
· Manage budgeted revenue and expenses against actuals along with event planning timelinesand action items for non-fundraising development-related events and initiatives and assist with these items for A Taste of Nature and a possible second fundraiser.
· Manage trackingfor all live and onlineauction items along with all corporate sponsorships relationships.
· Maintain corporate sponsor and corporate prospect records by business and by company
role in Bloomerang database in collaboration with Database Managerand Finance Liaison.
· Participate in regular Development Team meetings, Development Committee meetings, event committeemeetings, leadership team meetings, all-staffmeetings and all-staff and Development Team retreats.
· Attend communityevents, as requested from time to time, to engage individual and corporate donors and prospects.

· Requirements
• Extremely well organized with ability to comfortably and efficiently multi-task.

• Ability to comfortably interactwith donors and prospects at all levelswith a “hospitality mindset”.
• Strong computer, Microsoft Office (Word,Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite skills along with the proficiencies necessary to
quickly utilize Bloomerang (donor database).
• Effective collaborator, including within the Development Team,with programs, marketing and finance team members and with vendors and partners.
• Attention to detail, timelines and related deadlines.
• Ability to effectively work on a diverse team and with a diverserange of people.
· Strongly Preferred
• Event management and production skillsand an eye for organizing events that appeal to
donors and prospects.
• Experience with corporate cash and in-kindsolicitations or similarsales or non-profit experience.
The job primarily is located in the Avon office with offsite meetings and frequent events on and off site. Evening and weekend work required for events and prospect/donor relationsinteractions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, do off-site pick up and return of items and do setup/breakdown of events, at our Avon Campus as well as off-campus in both indoor and outdoor settings.
