Development Coordinator

There With Care is excited to announce a new position based out of our Denver/Boulder office! The Development Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Development team in achieving annual fundraising goals and community engagement. The Development Coordinator will engage with individuals, local businesses, organizations, and other entities, nurturing relationships throughout the year for financial, in-kind, event, and volunteer support.

About Us 

Founded in Colorado in 2005, There With Care’s mission is to provide a wide range of meaningful and fundamental services for families and children during the critical phase of a medical crisis. We serve families referred by hospital social workers and build support around them through a community of individuals, volunteers, services, and businesses, who ease their burden of life’s day-to-day obligations with compassion and care. Our current service locations are Colorado and the Bay Area of California. 

The Important Work You’ll Do

• Work with the Senior Director of Development to create an individual donor outreach calendar to coordinate cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities for all donors who give $500 or less annually.
• Oversee strategy and implementation for the Care Club monthly giving program including recruitment, cultivation, and stewardship.
• Work with the Senior Director of Development to oversee stewardship for the Planned Giving Program.
• Manage all aspects of the donor acknowledgement process including weekly phone calls, thank you outreach, and weekly acknowledgement report to be sent to the President & COO for gifts over $5,000.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with individual donors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
• Support the Development team in efforts to engage potential individual and business supporters into the various areas within the organization such as group projects, donation drives and volunteer projects.
• Engage with community supporters to actively solicit in-kind donations and auction items.
• Support the development team with community events.
• Assist with additional projects as assigned.

The Important Skills You’ll Need To Have

• Bachelor’s degree desired.
• A strong commitment to the mission of There With Care.
• Minimum 1-3 years of professional fundraising experience, marked by strong organizational skills and an attention to detail.
• A resourceful style with the ability to work independently, take initiative and manage multiple tasks and projects as well as to be a team player who is eager to collaborate with others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong ability to network and build alliances.
• Must have computer proficiency and knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• CRM experience a plus.
