The Conservancy is a tax-exempt nonprofit driven by a passionate coalition to provide leadership and harness the region’s commitment to enhancing and permanently protecting the Canal. In 2014, with the support of Denver Water and 11 local jurisdictions, the Conservancy led a public outreach campaign engaging thousands of residents to develop a long-term plan for the Canal, spearheaded a fundraising campaign to support the vision, and now holds a permanent conservation easement on 45 miles of the Canal.
