Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Development Manager to manage The GrowHaus’ day-to-day development operations in order to reach fundraising goals set by the Director of Development. To excel in this role, you must be a proven fundraiser with experience managing budgets, grant evaluations, and stewarding key funder relationships. You’ll also supervise The GrowHaus’ Development and Communications Coordinator, who you will work closely with in planning and implementing individual giving campaigns and events throughout the year.

Key Priorities:
- Team Manager: You will help ensure the Development team’s weekly workflow aligns with department and organization goals. You will also supervise the Development and Communications Coordinator and help them set monthly priorities. As a Senior Manager at The GrowHaus, you will steward the organization’s values of inclusivity, accountability, and learning.
- Grant Management: Manage The GrowHaus’ government and foundation grants, including overseeing the invoicing process, submitting evaluation reports, and stewarding key funder relationships.
- Draft Compelling Proposals and Reports: Draft informative proposals and reports to potential and existing funders giving up to $50,000 annually, with a compelling narrative, clear outcomes, and a reasonable budget.
- Plan and Execute Individual Giving Strategy: Create and implement a stewardship strategy to increase donor retention and giving levels for individuals giving up to $5,000 annually, including an impactful Colorado Gives Day campaign.
- Manage Monthly Giving Program and Events: Work with the Development and Communications Coordinator to create a year-round donor engagement strategy that includes donor recognition, upgrade campaigns, and acquisition campaigns, depending on the year. As part of donor engagement, you will work with the team to plan stewardship events and Harvest Week, our annual four-night fundraising in partnership with EatDenver.
Required Job Skills, Experiences, and Qualifications:
- Proven track record in reaching fundraising goals
- Successful project manager and ability to excel at details and prioritize under pressure
- At least one year of management experience
- Ability to steward relationships with key partners and funders
- Conversational in English and Spanish
- Experience managing grant budgets and evaluations
- Excellent writer and able to adapt style to different audiences
- Comfortable working with a CRM donor database to log donor activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to effectively and respectfully work with diverse individuals and community members
- Collaborative team member with a growth mindset
- Self-motivated and able to independently reach project deadlines
