Position Title: Grants Manager (Independent Contractor)
 

Location: Metropolitan Denver, Colorado (Position is approximately 70% remote, 30% presence at event sites.)
 

Hours: 10-15 hours per week
Compensation: $30 per hour
 

Role Overview

We are seeking a self-starter and experienced Grants Manager to manage current grants, develop grant proposals, handle grant-related activities, and assist with other fundraising. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in grant management and excellent writing, oral and
interpersonal skills.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare compelling annual grant applications and reports, including compiling and analyzing program impact data.
• Design and implement effective strategies to attract and retain regular individual donors.
• Develop an adaptable template proposal to use for grant applications.
• Research and identify new funding opportunities from private funders, foundations, government agencies, and corporations.
• Manage existing and future grant reporting, compliance, and implementation.
• Create and utilize a collaborative process to facilitate effective internal communications with officers, board directors, colleagues, and volunteers on grant-related matters.
•  Prepare timely budget plans and allocate grant funds appropriately.
• Provide detailed reports to funders, officers, and the Board on grants’ statuses and progress.
• Maintain and regularly submit accurate records of all grant activities, payments, and receivables to the secretary/treasurer and other designated officers.
   

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

Proven experience in grant writing, management, and administration. Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
Above-average proficiency in using computer software programs and conducting independent research. Knowledge of nonprofit operations and funding sources. Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and produce quality results.
