Healthy Relationships Educator (Full-Time, 32 Hours)

What you’ll do
As a Healthy Relationships Educator, you will be responsible for teaching PAVE’s education curricula, including Path to Healthy Relationships (PTHR), Brave Woman, and True Man, to under-served middle and high school students, coordinating community partnerships and outreach programs, and supporting our Youth Community Educator’s Program (YCEP). You will report to the Deputy Director of Programs and Clinical Supervision and work collaboratively with all staff members and volunteers to further PAVE’s mission. Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Plan, prepare, and provide accessible and engaging healthy relationships education (12-16 workshops a week) to middle and high school youth utilizing PAVE’s social-emotional educational curricula designed to help students develop healthy relationships with themselves and others, challenge rigid gender roles, and develop healthy emotional regulation and communication skills
- Sustain and grow positive, collaborative relationships with community partners
- Support PAVE’s YCEP program by integrating youth into our work, including co-facilitation; serve as a liaison to the school and community partners by coordinating youth-led workshops, activities, and projects within the community
- Participate in ongoing curriculum development for PAVE’s programs
- Track and document services data on a monthly basis
- Participate in the analysis and review of program evaluation data
What makes you a great candidate for this role
- At least two years of experience working or volunteering with under-served youth
- Demonstrated experience teaching workshops and/or facilitating groups; excellent presentation skills
- Self-motivation and initiative skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting or independently and manage multiple responsibilities and priorities with high attention to details and deadlines
