Program Coordinator
SUMMARY:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for the effective execution and management of all PEER Kindness programs. This role involves working closely with the Program Director to ensure that program goals are met and that initiatives are delivered efficiently and effectively. The Program Coordinator will oversee program logistics, coordinate with various stakeholders, and provide direct support to ensure the success of bullying prevention, bullying navigation, and youth development programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Program Execution:
- Implement PEER Kindness programs in accordance with established goals and objectives.
- Coordinate program activities, workshops, and events, ensuring smooth operation and high-quality delivery.
- Manage the logistics of program implementation, including scheduling, materials preparation, and participant coordination.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to facilitate program delivery.
- Maintain positive relationships with program participants, parents, educators, and community partners.
- Serve as a point of contact for program-related inquiries and communications.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Track program progress and outcomes, collecting and analyzing data to assess effectiveness.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Program Director on program status and impact.
- Assist in the evaluation of programs to identify areas for improvement and development.
- Resource Management:
- Manage program resources, including materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure the availability and proper utilization of resources to support program activities.
- Assist in budget management and expense tracking for program-related activities.
- Support and Collaboration:
- Work closely with all program staff to ensure cohesive program delivery.
- Provide support and guidance to program staff and volunteers as needed.
- Contribute to the planning and development of new program initiatives and strategies.
- Outreach and Engagement:
- Promote PEER Kindness programs within the community to increase participation and engagement.
- Assist with the creation and distribution of promotional materials and communications, including social media.
- Participate in community events and activities to represent PEER Kindness and its programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of PEER Kindness.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of experience in program coordination or implementation, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient with database software, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: Experience in bullying prevention or child/youth programs, working with children PreK – 12 grades, bilingual in English and Spanish.
The position also requires a willingness to work outside the standard 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday hours, including occasional weekends, and evenings as the job requires. All PEER Kindness staff work with children and youth in the office, community, and at PreK-12 schools thus a background and motor vehicle record check, valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance are required for this position.
