Acknowledgment Administrator – Development/Fundraising

Position Summary 

This position is responsible for generating tribute acknowledgments, tribute cards & preparing general tax receipts and acknowledgments for mailing, along with answering donor comment mail and conducting overall maintenance of donor records.  

Essential Duties    

  1. Drafts letters and donor correspondence for review.
  2. Creates tax receipt/acknowledgments (below $500) and tribute cards and prepares tax receipts/acknowledgments for mailing.
  3. Maintains Tribute files and generates related reporting.  
  4. Verifies gift processing data entry against source documentation, identifies errors and makes appropriate changes in Raiser’s Edge. 
  5. Responds to donor comments on all returned mail.
  6. Inputs database corrections (address changes, coding and special notes) and researches/reprocesses credit card denials.
  7. Coordinates and produces bi-monthly Yahrzeit acknowledgments before they are mailed.  Assures the date of acknowledgments coincides with the Hebrew date.
  8. Answers and/or directs phone calls from donors regarding fundraising at National Jewish, and Direct Marketing in particular. 
  9. Tracks, logs and monitors the weekly balance of business reply accounts, replenishing as needed.
  10. Assists with special projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Education: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. 
  2. Work Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of clerical experience, including data entry, word processing and other basic computer skills required. 
  3. Special Training, Certification or Licensure: None
     

Salary Range: $22.76 – $30.10
