About the Position
Reporting to the Executive Director of Operations and IT, the Data Manager is responsible for the ensuring the collection, entry, and reporting of all fundraising, programmatic, and Board of Directors data. This position will ensure data quality and integrity, including across and between systems. In support of the Fundraising, Programs, and Operations team, the Data Manager will offer key operational support that elevates the impact all of us can make for the community.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure accurate data input across the organization, supporting the Fundraising, Programs, and Operations teams, and ensuring conformity to best practices as well as established internal processes.
Maintain instructional manuals for the primary databases
Stay up to date with JA USA requirements and changes as it pertains to data and evaluations, and help plan new approaches to and procedures for data tracking and reporting
Revenue management in constituent relationship software
o General data entry
o Entry of all incoming donations
o Create and manage donor acknowledgement letters
In conjunction with the Finance staff, facilitate monthly accounts reconciliation between financial and constituent relationship software systems
Prepare and distribute reports for funders, internal stakeholders, marketing purposes, JA USA compliance, and other scheduled or ad hoc requirements.
With Programs team, develop, distribute, and manager program evaluation process
o Student evaluations (pre- and post-tests) through JA USA analytics site (printing/scanning, prepare digital links, monitor completion)
o Teacher/volunteer satisfaction surveys (creation, sending, tracking/reporting)
Create forms and help set up automated processes for such things as special event RSVPs and registration, Board meeting RSVPs, teacher requests, etc.
Manage data input and reporting for new Board of Directors members
Manage board engagement tracking process
Help improve data collection and reporting systems by studying current practices, designing modifications, and implementing change within the organization
General back up support for operations team
