 Orchestra Stage Manager, Jefferson Symphony Orchestra 

About JSO 

Jefferson Symphony is a classical music orchestra of
volunteer musicians based in Golden. We perform five concerts per year, a
summer pops concert and several recitals. We are the oldest and largest
community orchestra in the region, now in our 72nd season.
 

  

Position: Orchestra Stage Manager, Jefferson Symphony Orchestra 

Part time 5 hours per week (and up to 20 hours during 5
concert weeks) during academic year.


Must be a needs-based Work Study funded college student in Denver Metro area.
 

Duties: 

Set up and take down chairs, stands and some audio
equipment for rehearsals and help conductor as needed during Monday evening
rehearsals.


Work with the General Manager and be friendly and helpful to volunteer
musicians.
 

Work with the audio engineer and concert venue staff during
dress rehearsals and performances, including moving and loading percussion
instruments, audio equipment and other musical equipment.
 

Requirements: 

Able to lift and carry up 50 pounds

Able to read, write and speak English (Spanish a plus)


Available on Monday evenings from 5-10 pm
 

Available during specific concert weeks on a Thursday
evening, Saturday morning and Sunday afternoon (5 times per year) and other
days as needed for smaller events
 

Must have reliable transportation. 

No musical experience necessary, but symphonic orchestra or
band experience or stage crew experience helpful.

5 hours per week Monday evenings 5-10 pm for rehearsals. 

Concert weeks dress rehearsals and concert at Colorado
School of Mines in Golden

Employment duration
