Public Services Manager

Due to retirements and a reorganization of our manager roles which created a new position, we are looking for 3 Public Services Managers who believe in the values of innovation, accountability and excellence – leaders who advocate for libraries, are up-to-date on current trends in the profession and are passionate about providing public library service that builds an educated and vibrant community, and support a radically welcoming patron experience. One of these positions manages two libraries and the other positions each manage one library and one Core Service (a library-wide area of focus).

The Public Services Manager will supervise staff, create an environment that reflects JCPL’s values of serving with care, welcoming all, meeting people where they are, giving them full attention and exceeding customer expectations. The person in each of these positions will plan/audit system resources with budgetary and decision-making authority over those resources. The Public Service Manager will create partnerships and relationships in the community through outreach.

Hiring Range: $67.192.30 – $87,350.00 Annually.

Golden Library and Patron Experience: Location Services Core Service

Standley Lake Library and Adult Services Core Service

During the application questionnaire, candidates will be able to identify interest in one or more location.

Responsibilities:

Required – Minimum 3 years library experience, or combination of more than one year library experience AND more than 5 years leadership experience.

Preferred – Master’s degree in Library Science or Library Information Systems.

Preferred – 3 years supervisory experience.
