Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Outreach Librarian

 Jefferson County Public Library is hiring a bilingual (English/Spanish), proactive, culturally competent, and service-oriented team player to join our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team as our Outreach Librarian! You’ll be promoting and providing services beyond the walls of the library, engaging, and encouraging positive outcomes for our diverse communities. Including Immigrants and Spanish Speakers, People with Disabilities, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC and People experiencing homelessness. Use your expertise to promote our library services through community outreach, connecting with community partners, facilitate instructional sessions to community organizations, develop and deliver programs. Hiring Range: $50,315.81 – $65,410.55 annually. 

This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week and requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends. This position requires some travel to all JCPL locations and outreach events within Jefferson County.  

Required – One year of related work experience. 

Preferred – Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and years of experience. 

Preferred – One year of public library experience and experience with community engagement with diverse communities. 

This position requires both fluent and effective communication skills in English and Spanish.
