Job Description 

Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to serve as our Chief Libraries & Inclusion Officer. This executive role is a unique opportunity for a passionate library professional to shape the future of inclusive library services in Jefferson County, Colorado.


As a key member of the leadership team, the Chief Libraries & Inclusion Officer drives JCPL’s mission by envisioning and executing innovative, equitable library services that reflect the diverse needs and experiences of our community. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, titled Executive Director, this position oversees strategic planning, service development, and program delivery while fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and belonging.
 

We anticipate making a starting salary offer between $124,245 to $161,519 annually.  

Candidates that include a Cover Letter will be prioritized. 

Required – Master’s Degree in Library Science (MLIS) or equivalent. 

Required – Minimum seven years of relevant work experience, including five years in a supervisory role. An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered. 

Required – Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Preferred – Advanced knowledge in library science and organizational management. 

Preferred – Proficiency in strategic planning and data analysis.
