The Capital Campaign Manager will provide leadership, strategy, and planning on the capital campaign for our new Denver-area distribution center, with a fundraising goal of $25M.
The Capital Campaign Manager is responsible for campaign strategy including establishing solicitation priorities, managing prospect lists, developing and executing targeted cultivation plans and solicitation strategies for a range of projects. This position will prepare and provide support to staff, board members, and volunteers for solicitation and planning and managing campaign-related events.
This position is a term limited role based on the campaign timeline with an estimated completion date of June 2026.

Primary Responsibilities:
Campaign Management
· In partnership with organizational leadership, develop and implement campaign strategy, internal systems, and accountabilities
· Work with campaign team to project manage all aspects of the campaign by utilizing, updating, and monitoring the campaign plan and timeline
· Update, manage and oversee actions with the prospect pipeline (moves management tool)
o Develop, communicate, and follow-up on recommended actions and follow up to leadership, development staff and committee
o Update and maintain the prospect grid
· Create and update campaign proposals and opportunities as needed and prepare donor briefings for leadership, volunteers and colleagues
o Coordinate and manage research of campaign prospects
· Oversee and lead campaign integration with donor database and CRM by ensuring input of actions, quality contacts and gift/pledge entries by the database specialist team and frontline fundraisers
· Produce monthly campaign reports
· Manage the administration and record keeping of campaign gifts including pledge forms, Enterprise Zone Tax Credit administration, pledges due, and donor recognition agreements. Ensure timely acknowledgement of all campaign gifts and pledges including preparation of pledge payment reminders and pledge agreements
· Manage capital campaign budget tracking and reporting both non-building expenditures and contributed revenue
· In collaboration with the CFO, produce regular financial forecasting reports to inform the New Markets Tax Credit reporting
Committee and Solicitor Support
· Provide management of the Capital Campaign Committee, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, capturing meeting notes, and ensuring timely follow-up after committee meetings and interactions
· Create systems of accountability for the Capital Campaign Committee and schedule regular interactions to ensure members are supported and moving solicitations forward Provide prospect briefings for all donor meetings and solicitations
· Prepare materials for prospect interactions and send bi-weekly emails to the committee to record actions and updates
· Schedule meetings, prepare and provide talking points, presentations, and support to staff, board members, and campaign volunteers for major gift solicitations
· Manage Board of Directors campaign engagement including communications, meetings/presentations and systems/tracking
Prospect and Donor Relations
· Plan and implement campaign-related cultivation and stewardship events, including hard hat tours
· Facilitate creating and updating of campaign materials as needed, including donor updates, campaign case for support, talking points, recognition opportunities, etc. in coordination with the communications team
· Manage execution of campaign donor recognition by ensuring all recognition is documented in Raiser’s Edge and that that all donors receive strong communication and follow through regarding their individual recognition and associated deliverables
· Assist the Grants Manager as needed with production and submission of foundation grant requests for campaign funding
· Assist the Corporate Relations team in creating solicitation plans and customized proposals for corporate campaign prospects
· Plan and implement broad-based campaign activities during the public phase of campaign, including mailings, website presence, media relations, etc.
· Develop and implement donor recognition plans, including written reports, donor wall, celebration event, etc.
· Manage the application, renewal, and ongoing certification process associated with the Enterprise Zone Tax Credit and Enterprise Zone program
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Commitment to fulfilling the Food Bank of the Rockies mission and positively representing the brand both internally and externally
· Demonstrated personal leadership coupled with strong team orientation, exemplary project management skills and a high donor relations focus
· Ability to build highly collaborative partnerships with Food Bank of the Rockies staff, Board, community and potential funders
· Ability to write compelling proposals and to communicate informally via email communications.
· Attention to detail and the ability to think strategically
· Experience working in a capital campaign environment
· Strong communication skills that are effective across a variety of constituencies

Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or comparable experience
· Seven or more years fundraising experience preferred with capital campaign management and major gift solicitation experience highly desired
· Experience managing a volunteer fundraising committee
· Extensive experience in Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising database
Expected Hours of Work:
This is an exempt, full time position. Work schedules may vary each week and consist of weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays. A flexible work schedule is available with the option to work remotely.
