Position Overview:
Every Child Pediatrics is seeking a PRN (as needed) Registered Nurse to float between our four traditional clinics in the metro Denver area: Denver, Thornton, Aurora, and Lakewood as needed. Our Registered Nurses have the primary responsibility for patient management via telephone triage at all clinics.

management via telephone triage at all clinics. The RN participates in direct patient care
providing services that fall within the professional scope of practice and as determined
by patient and provider need.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Provide over-the-phone assessment, advice and counseling for patients and families served by Every Child Pediatrics
· Follow established written protocols for handling common pediatric illnesses
· Schedule patients as appropriate for clinic appointments
· Refer to/collaborate with medical providers when assistance is needed.
· Document all information gathered and advice given in order to keep providers informed with patient progress and outcomes.
· Place follow-up phone calls as needed.
· Refill medications according to clinic policy.
· Reviewing clinical documents and follow up as needed.
· Adhere to established Clinical Policies and Procedures.
· Perform direct patient care when task or procedure requires the skill and expertise of an RN.
· Participate in patient care when clinic activity warrants additional assistance due to patient volume and/or acuity level.
· Review and update clinical patient care policies and procedures including emergency protocols to reflect the standard of care for pediatric practice.
· Collaborate with medical providers to improve patients care and outcomes.
· Manage and respond to all emergent clinical situations in conjunction with medical provider.
· Accompany patient and family to acute health care facility as appropriate.
· Assist with coordinating care for complex patients/families including help with navigating the health care system and managing Synagis referrals
· Triage walk-in patients.
· Travel to all ECP locations based on staffing needs.
Qualifications
· Bachelor of Science in Nursing
· Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred
· Current Colorado RN license
· BLS/CPR certification
· Spanish speaking preferred, and in some cases, required depending upon clinic setting.
· Electronic Medical Record experience required.
