Community Outreach & Education Coordinator 

The Community Outreach & Education Coordinator (COEC) will be responsible for a dual role. Two-thirds of the position will be responsible for teaching 6th-12th grade students Donor Alliance’s Transplantation Science program throughout the school year. The remainder of the time will be spent doing grassroot community outreach with various organizations across Colorado and Wyoming. This position will require travel to schools and locations across both states. 

• Education– Our transplantation science curriculum is shared in schools, in partnership with a variety of teachers, throughout the school year to increase awareness around organ, eye, and tissue donation. 
• Community Outreach– During times when the transplantation science program is less busy, this person will create relationships with organizations within the community to share and create more awareness around donation. 
• Speakers Bureau Program– This role will manage our Speakers Bureau program, which involves Donor Alliance employees who enjoy speaking with community organizations to share our mission. 
• Relationship management within schools and community organizations will be at the forefront of this role. 
• No two days in this role are the same. New faces to educate and school systems will help create a role with lots of variety from day-to-day.

Qualifications & Skills 

• Classroom Management– experience working in an educator role with both students and adults is necessary to be successful in this role. 
• Travel- travel across Colorado and Wyoming will be required to help with the education of over 10,000 students per year. 
• Presentation Skills- comfortability building and facilitating presentations based on audience will be crucial.

• $28.92-32.53/hour
