Request for Proposals – Strategic Planning
The Board of Directors of Denver Family Institute (DFI) seeks assistance to develop DFI’s strategic direction, goals, priorities and tactics over the next 3-5 years. Three years ago, DFI’s team formed a strategic planning committee with representation from internal and external communities of interest; this committee engaged in a robust strategic planning process, gathering input via focus groups from various communities of interest. We intend to approach this next round of strategic planning with openness and responsiveness to community needs, while also being well-positioned to build upon the meaningful progress toward the current strategic plan goals.
The total cost cannot exceed $7,500 and all proposals must include the following key deliverables:
- Planning and coordination with Board leadership and staff.
- A kick-off session at DFI’s annual Board retreat on January 28, 2025 (half-day retreat; likely a 60-90 minute in-person facilitated session to lay the groundwork)
- A facilitated strategic planning session with DFI’s Board of Directors at the Board meeting on April 1, 2025 (board meetings are held virtually from 7:30 – 9:00 am; we would likely extend this meeting to at least 2 hours from 7:30 – 9:30 for this session).
- A formal strategic plan delivered at the May 20th Board meeting (virtual; 7:30 – 9:00 am). The plan must capture the Board’s vision, priorities, and goals for the next 3-5 years, and have an implementation matrix to facilitate making the plan a reality.
