CEF OSHA Education Center Administrator (Independent Contractor)
Position Title: CEF OSHA Education Center Administrator
Location: Denver, Colorado
Salary Range: $21.60 – 25.63/hour
Job Type: Independent Contractor 30 hours per week. Potential for full-time hire.
Position Summary
The Administrator is responsible for managing daily clerical and operational duties to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC). Serving as the primary point of contact for local industries, outreach trainers, and OTIEC stakeholders, this role ensures compliance with all program requirements through accurate data management, quality control, reporting, auditing, and evaluation. The Administrator will also support marketing initiatives alongside the Program Director and assist with grant-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
Operations and Course Management
- Oversee communication and preparation for virtual and in-person courses.
- Resolve end-user issues promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with the OSHA Education Center’s Procedures Manual and the Outreach Monitoring Plan.
- Maintain and update daily registrations and course schedules to ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Respond to general inquiries related to courses and operations.
- Process and manage course cancellations and refunds.
- Create and manage course certificates, including design (Canva), organization, uploading (Dropbox), and distribution.
- Develop and send course-related emails (confirmation, reminders, final communications) to ensure seamless participant experience.
- Organize and maintain the Info@ email inbox for efficiency and accessibility.
Marketing and Brand Communication
- Collaborate with the Program Director to develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Assist in creating and updating marketing materials and training resources.
Grant and Compliance Support
- Support grant-related activities as the OTIEC receives approvals for funding opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to grant compliance requirements and assist with reporting as needed.
Additional Duties
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support OTIEC operations and objectives.
Required Qualifications
Skills and Abilities
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; customer service-oriented.

- Attention to Detail: Excellent editing, proofreading, and follow-up skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to research, analyze, and resolve issues independently.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working under tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and calendar management.
- Familiarity with web development tools and platforms.
- Experience with Canva, Dropbox, and email communication systems is highly desirable.
Work Ethic and Professionalism
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
- Reliable, responsible, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to assist with additional projects and tasks as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary.
