Scope & Nature of Position:
This position will work directly with
volunteers and clients to ensure all Spanish-speaking individuals understand
the process at Community Table, and are treated equally alongside those
speaking other languages. This person will ensure the safety of our clients,
volunteers, and staff by being the first point of contact in the Community
Table building.
This position is essential in assuring clients
are well served by: guiding them to appropriate programs and services,
determining eligibility for food assistance, and accurate client data
collection and computer data entry.
This position will help organize, orient, and
support all clients by being the front face of Community Table to all Spanish-speaking
clients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Welcome clients
· Check clients documentation for eligibility per
guidelines for food benefits
· Refer clients to specific services, either
internally (Assistance Programs) or outside of CT
· Explain thoroughly, the rules and policies of
Client Choice Shopping and TEFAP Program
· Document simple special circumstance exception
and any other relevant notes
· Participate in required trainings
· Ensure safety of clients, volunteers and staff
by following safety protocols outlined by Manager of Food and Safety.
· Communicate safety protocols to clients to
ensure they have accurate and timely food choices.
· Restrict number of clients in building per CDC
Guidelines (when in affect).
· Supervise volunteer line monitors to ensure good
client communication.
· Work in conjunction with Assistance Programs
staff to establish best flow of traffic in facility.
· Perform administrative tasks as requested. (CSV
work if needed)
· Other duties as assigned.

· CT staff, clients, volunteers, Board members and
external community agencies.
Time Commitment (might not be at all times listed):
· Tuesday and Friday 11:30am – 4:00pm
· Thursday 9:30am – 4:00pm
· Wednesday 11:30am – 6:00pm
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Must speak English and Spanish.
· High School diploma or GED.
· Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to listen, respect and incorporate new
learning into job.
· Must be
