- Part-Time: $32,500 | 20 hours per week
- Full-Time: $65,000 | 40 hours per week
(Hiring either two part-time coaches or one full-time coach)
Work Mode: Primarily in-person; remote home office with ~70% of time spent directly supporting educators

The Efshar Project is at an inflection point, implementing a new three-year strategic plan (2025-2028) to strengthen and expand the Jewish early childhood education (ECE) community in Colorado. As we grow, we are focused on increasing quality, accessibility, and connectivity across our growing network of 18 schools.

Through coaching, training, and strategic partnerships, Efshar empowers educators and leaders to deliver high-quality, engaging, and inclusive Jewish early childhood experiences.
Position Summary
Efshar is seeking a dedicated and skilled pedagogical coach to help implement our new strategic vision and advance the quality and sustainability of Jewish early childhood education across our network. Ideal candidates will be flexible, proactive individuals who can adapt to evolving needs and take on tasks beyond their core responsibilities. The Efshar Pedagogical Coach will work directly with educators and directors, supporting instructional best practices, leadership development, and professional learning. This role is instrumental in:
- Expanding Efshar’s impact through high-touch coaching and training
- Advancing Jewish early childhood education by aligning with best practices and value
- Fostering deep connections within Efshar’s network to strengthen collaboration
The coach will spend approximately 70% of their time working directly with educators, working in close partnership with the Network Director, Pedagogy and Leadership and each individual school leaders (directors/AssistantDirectors) to ensure coordinator, high impact coaching and professional development support. The remaining 30% of time will be dedicated to content development, strategic collaboration, and professional learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. School Leadership & Pedagogical Coaching (70%)
- Serve as the primary coach for assigned schools, co-developing growth goals and updating plans biannually.
- Provide one-on-one and group coaching to educators and school leaders, ensuring alignment with best practices.
- Partner with school leaders to strengthen Jewish high-quality ECE experiences.
- Offer educational training, coaching, and resources across the network.
- Support planning and facilitate school-wide professional development training in August and beyond.
2. Collaboration & Professional Learning (15%)
- Help plan and execute Efshar’s annual Day of Learning, serving 200+ educators.
- Co-facilitate Monthly Reflective Consultation Sessions for directors and leaders.
- Support Efshar’s Teacher Leader Fellowship program.
- Develop and contribute to educational content for social media, newsletters, and Efshar’s website.
- Work with the team on relevant projects to complete administrative duties as needed
3. External Partnerships & Quality Ratings (10%)
- Collaborate with the Colorado Department of Early Education, Early Childhood councils and Clayton Early Learning to enhance alignment and coaching strategies and support.
- Engage with strategic partners (e.g., Red Rocks, ElevatEd, Jewish Family Services) to expand support for Efshar network schools.
- Assist in evaluating and improving Colorado Shines quality rating alignment for Jewish ECE programs.
- Participate in, leverage learning and share resources from trusted national Jewish ECE partners, like The Orchard and Paradigm as well as other secular or Jewish high-quality professional development trainers and programs.
4. Administrative & Operational Tasks (5%)
- Team meetings
- Administrative work and research
- Program coordination & documentation to maintain accurate records and activities
- Contribute to grant applications and fundraising efforts
- Engage in thoughtful documentation and storytelling of happenings across Efshar programs
- Update resource hub with relevant and timely information
- Track coaching activities and progress in Efshar’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Serve as a liaison between educators and Efshar leadership
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Colorado Early Childhood Coach Credential and Certified Trainer Credential
- 5+ years of experience in early childhood education
- Experience in coaching and mentoring educators and school leaders
- Ability to work independently and remotely while managing multiple priorities
- Experience facilitating professional development workshops and training
- Reflective Supervision/Consultation (RS/C) trained or willingness to complete required training
Preferred:
- Strong background in Jewish early childhood education
- Experience coaching school directors and leadership teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Content creation experience (social media, newsletters, website)
- Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
Work Schedule & Location
- Position can be part-time (20 hrs/week) or full-time (40 hrs/week).
- Primarily in Colorado-based Efshar network schools; remote work for administrative tasks.
- Travel within Colorado is required based on school needs and coaching plans.
