Summary: Cobalt Abortion Fund is seeking a passionate Intake and Project Coordinator to work with
clients and coordinate funding with our partner clinics and support Cobalt Abortion Fund projects.
This is a full time, exempt position with a comprehensive benefit package. Hybrid work options
available. Some evening or weekend hours required for Cobalt events throughout the year. This
position reports to the Cobalt Abortion Fund Director.
Intake Coordination Responsibilities Include (80%):
● Using a client centered lens to respond to individual requests for abortion care funding.
● Coordinating funding with partner clinic staff.
● Identifying practical support (travel assistance, meal support, child care, etc.).
● Identifying and referring additional support needs to local agencies.
● Coordinating solidarity funding with other abortion funds.
● Utilize follow up with clients and identify additional areas of support.
● Intake Coordination will often exceed 80% of the role, as directed by the Cobalt Abortion Fund
Director.
Project Coordination Responsibilities Include (20%):
● Cobalt Abortion Fund story collection support including maintaining the story collection
system, calling clients to verify use authorization, maintaining story catalog, and more.
● Using a client centered lens when discussing story collection with clients.
● Client feedback form collection support including maintaining feedback form collection
system, maintaining feedback catalog, and more.
● Other projects assigned by CAF Director.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
● Ability to use a client centered lens when working with individuals.
● Problem solving abilities when navigating complex situations and a strong ability to multitask.
● Ability to handle high stress situations.
● Intersectional approach when navigating unjust systems and awareness of disproportionately
affected communities.
● Ability to ensure client confidentiality and appropriate use of HIPAA guidelines.
● Excellent written and communication skills.
● Proficiency in Google Suite.
● Previous experience using Salesforce is a plus.
● Knowledge of local support services is a plus.
● Spanish language speaking skills are preferred.
