Operations and Volunteer Coordinator

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Operations and Volunteer Coordinator serves as a connection point between the Operations and Development teams related to daily operations, securing resources and volunteer coordination. Holding a high level of understanding across all functional areas of the organization, this role works closely with the Director of Operations to assess and understand in-kind resource needs, research potential providers and partners and assist with all aspects of the volunteer lifecycle. This position coordinates distinctive projects and initiatives requiring communication with staff, external partners and volunteers and requires regular offsite travel.
CWEE is seeking a flex player with a warm and persistent approach and a commitment to providing high-quality service. This role requires changing course quickly as the needs of the organization evolve as well as the ability to problem solve in real time.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Support (50% of time)
- In collaboration with the Director of Operations, supports resource acquisition, stocking and continuously monitors inventory
- Assists Director of Operations in managing CWEE’s Boutique inventory and partnership usage
- Coordinates in-kind donations drop-offs and pick-ups, including participant home deliveries
- Supports building operations by setting up/tearing down meeting rooms, ordering food and coordinating supplies for all-staff meetings and retreats
- Ensures cleanliness of shared CWEE spaces, including participant and staff breakrooms
- Runs errands efficiently on behalf of the Operations Team
- Maintains CWEE Share calendar on behalf of the organization
- Orders office supplies and tracks inventory regularly
- Ensure CWEE Boutique and resource room is visitor and donor appropriate
Development Support with an emphasis on Volunteer Coordination (45% of time)
- In collaboration with the Development Director, provides support to the Development Team with an emphasis on volunteers
- Recruits, screens and connects volunteers to CWEE, responsible for ongoing support and engagement of CWEE operations and development volunteers
- Manages application process, documentation and tracks volunteer hours using DonorPerfect
- Works across the organization to understand volunteer needs, serves as an organizational point of contact, working closely with internal project leads for volunteer engagement
- Supports with external partner welcome bags, as needed
- In collaboration with the Development Director, supports ongoing volunteer orientations
- Supports organization-wide activities including events, meetings, and campaigns with an emphasis on volunteer engagement
- Supports annual programming and donation drives
- Works closely with the Development Team on ongoing volunteer recognition opportunities, including the annual spring volunteer recognition event

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Exposure to human services, education, workforce development or related setting, preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse and economically disadvantaged backgrounds
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all CWEE stakeholders
- Ability to manage a high volume of inbound/outbound calls with enthusiasm and poise
- Ability to adopt a strengths based and trauma-informed approach
- Skilled with daily, detailed data entry and outreach
- Strong computer skills including web-based databases, internet research and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to model professional dress and workplace conduct
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Deadline oriented with ability to manage large amounts of data and create tracking systems
- Need consistent mode of transportation, job requires frequent in-town travel

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This is an onsite role located in Denver, Colorado and requires in-town travel for meetings and resource pick-ups
- Willingness to work a varied schedule beyond core office hours, including occasional evening and weekend hours with advance notice
- Ability to attend meetings and events within the Denver Metro area
- Ability to regularly move around the office, stand and/or walk for long periods of time and load and carry supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
