What Success Looks Like In This Job
Leveraging your expertise in innovative recruitment practices, you’ll play a pivotal role in attracting and engaging top talent for Adams County. As a valuable member of our high performing team, you’ll collaborate to develop and deliver exceptional candidate experiences that not only impress, but also seamlessly integrate with our established norms and values. You’ll craft impactful materials, staying ahead of the curve in utilizing the latest recruitment technologies for maximum reach and effectiveness. Your contributions will further encompass project management initiatives, where you’ll share your subject matter expertise and actively participate in job fairs and recruitment events. Providing consultation services to assigned client groups, and departments.
Examples of Duties for Success
- Administer, train and champion the applicant tracking system. Stay ahead of the curve with updates and industry trends, ensuring a seamless experience for both recruiters, candidates and hiring managers.
- Collaborate on crafting recruitment strategies including goals, branding, and marketing to attract top diverse talent and showcase Adams County as the place to be.
- Partner with internal teams to create captivating inclusive and representative job advertisements that resonate with ideal candidates.
- Provide exceptional candidate service and support. Guide applicants through the process, answer questions and create a positive first impression.
- Offer technical assistance and expertise to internal stakeholders on recruitment methods and techniques.
- Be flexible to take on new tasks and responsibilities as needed.
- Hosting new employee orientations to foster a positive onboarding experience for new employees.
- Be a talent ambassador at job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities building relationships with future teammates.
- May provide supervision, training and/or mentorship to interns, job shadow participants and P&C Technicians.
- Could be backup background investigations and compliance. May administer and oversee entry level background processes for all departments within Adams County.
- Participate in the development and facilitation of curriculum/training materials to educate all hiring roles about hiring responsibilities related to the hiring process.
- Takes on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Handle administrative tasks like filing, scanning and document maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Success
- Deep understanding of HR functions, procedures, and polices, and recruitment trends.
- Communicate effectively, in person, over the phone, and in email.
- Prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Craft and implement successful recruitment strategies through branding and marketing to attract top talent and showcase Adams County.
- Intermediate user of applicant tracking system.
- Research complex issues, develop project plans, and propose policy/procedure improvements.
- Maintain objectivity and confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Foster positive harmonious working relationships with everyone you encounter.
- Adaptability to embrace new tasks and responsibilities as needing staying flexible and agile.
- Ability to work independently or contribute to teamwork.
- Multi-tasking in an organized manner.
- Recognizes, supports, and is sensitive to different cultures and perspectives in our recruiting strategies and organizational culture.
More Qualifications for Success
Experience
- 2 Years of increasingly responsible recruitment, talent acquisition, communications, marketing and/or human resources experience is required.
- Experience working with an applicant tracking system is preferred.
- Background investigations/compliance experience preferred. Education
- High School/GED requiredOther
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
- Possess a valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
- HR industry certification (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred
