Program Manager

The John Austin Cheley Foundation (DBA: A Thousand Summers) seeks a skilled Program Manager to support the management and delivery of the organization’s volunteer-based programs. Reporting to the Programs Director and working closely with the Programs Committee, the Program Manager will be responsible for activities associated with program participant and volunteer recruitment, program planning, and implementation. The Program Manager will be responsible for managing certain specific requirements across multiple programs to ensure that programs are planned, integrated, and implemented in line with our organizational mission and that program participants and volunteers are informed, successfully engaged, and supported.

This position reports to the Program Director

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Compass/Capstone Program

– Train on program curriculum

– Collaborate with Program Director on program evaluation

– Train and lead volunteer team

– Co-facilitate virtual lessons with volunteer assistance

– Follow up with parents and mentors after each lesson to communicate lesson content

– Assist with annual review and revision of program materials

2. Campership Program

– Program applicant support

– Peer mentor management

– Database management (including communications, applications and billing)

3. Alumni Program

– Manage alumni initiation process

– Maintain regular communication with alumni

– Collaborate on the design of new programs

4. Volunteer Management

– Process volunteer applications

– Communicate regularly with volunteers

– Manage new volunteer training and onboarding

– Engage in volunteer recognition
