Job Description:

PBS12 is seeking an innovative, agile, and forward-thinking Station Manager to oversee the operation and evolution of our content and distribution tools and
processes.
The Station Manager will report to the President and General Manager. The Station Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day technical
operations, production capabilities, and maintenance of the station’s equipment and facility.
The Station Manager will develop and deploy innovative technological solutions that will increase the ease, amount, and speed of local studio production while maintaining PBS12’s high-quality standards. This is a full-time position based at PBS12’s facility at the Five Points Media Center in Denver, Colorado. 

Key Responsibilities:

 · Develop and deploy a technology strategy that expands PBS12’s production capabilities 

· Develop and deploy an enterprise-wide technology strategy that leverages automation and AI 

· Oversee, optimize, and evolve PBS12’s master control functions 

· Oversee, optimize, and evolve PBS12’s studio facilities 

· Work with PBS12 colleagues to activate the studio and capture content quickly and efficiently 

· Ensure PBS12 technology is in good working order 

· Collaborate with PBS12 colleagues on training, problem-solving, and leveraging new technologies to improve workflows 

· Assist in the creation and deployment of the technology budget 

· Develop an immediate, short-term, and long-term technology plan for PBS12 

· Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of PBS12’s facilities 

  

Required Skills: 

· Five or more years in the broadcast or video production field 

· Extensive understanding of broadcast and video delivery platforms 

· Extensive knowledge of FCC technology requirements and standards 

· Experience with video over IP solutions (example: NDI) 

· Experience with computer-based production control systems (example: V-Mix) 

· Strong functional knowledge of both studio and field production techniques 

· Valid driver’s license and ability to lift and carry 40lbs and occasionally up to 80lbs of equipment 

· Ability to create detailed technology plans that support the strategic vision of PBS12 

· Ability to develop and execute P&L analyses and construct responsible budgets
